Helping Patients Stay Connected

July 1, 2020

Sharp HealthCare received a generous donation of 50 iPads on June 24 from Second Life Mac, a Chicago-based recycler of Apple products.

The tablets will be used by patients with chronic conditions or other needs to help them stay connected with their doctors, friends and families.

Five of the 50 iPads were donated to Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital, to support patients there. “When you combine generosity, technology and empathy, amazing things will happen in health care,” says Dr. Tommy Korn, ophthalmologist with Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group, who accepted the donation. “This is a meaningful contribution for everyone.”
